Frankie Paul was a highly accomplished silversmith and saddlemaker who worked for the Ed Gillmore Saddlery in Southern California’s San Fernando valley in 1930s before leaving to start his own shop in nearby Arcadia in 1934 -- about the same year as the historic Santa Anita racetrack debuted. Frankie found an enthusiastic and affluent audience for his silver saddles including equestrian parade groups and local Sheriff’s mounted posses
