My name is Mike Keetch. I have been building saddles for about ten years now. I feel
fortunate to have been included in this group of talented makers. My wife Cindy and I
have three kids, our daughter Kricket 19, Gussie our 16 year old daughter, and Zane
our 10 year old boy. Cindy and I grew up on opposite ends of Utah Valley, but our Great
grandfathers homesteaded ranches next to one another in Diamond Fork canyon.
We live in Salem, Utah, with a few horses, some cows to rope, and a couple of English
Pointer bird dogs. We all love to ride and rope. We are lucky to be invited to many
brandings each spring. The Kids are such good help. One ranch kept them busy most of
last summer sorting pairs, changing pastures, and pushing cows up the canyon. I enjoy
all the processes of saddle making, but the artwork is definitely the hardest part for me.
Thanks for allowing me to put a saddle in this show.
