Born in Utah, John Jarvis has spent his life exploring, hiking, hunting and painting this spectacular country. From it's deep canons, wide open valleys cover in sage and pinon juniper forests, to red rock formations of the low country marked by volcanic mountain peaks of the La Salle, Henry and the Boulder, he has found the natural world to provide endless inspiration for his artwork.
Jarvis earned a BS degree from Utah University and a Master of Fine Arts degree from Brigham Young University and her began painting professionally in the 1970s. His subjects include Western scenes, landscapes, sporting life, figures and historical genre.
