Joyce developed her work by immersing herself in Western landscape and livestock culture, studying with contemporary professional artists, painting on location and visiting major museums across the United States, Canada and Europe. She has participated in invitational shows at the Bennington Center for the Arts in Vermont and the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame in Fort Worth. Feature articles about Joyce and her art have appeared in Big Sky Journal, Art of the West and American Artist magazines.
