Patricia (Tenneboe) Eckman was born in South Dakota and raised in the beautiful Black Hills, later moving to Southern California where she completed her art education at the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles, and met her husband and business partner of 34 years, Allen D Eckman.

After working in an advertising career, winning numerous awards as an illustrator, Patty, along with Allen discovered the medium, cast-paper sculpture, and have become the world’s premier cast-paper sculpture artists. Patty received the “Artist Choice Award” at the 2008 National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame Heart of the West art Exhibit and Sale, and has been featured in Southwest Art Magazine and I M Cowgirl Magazine. The Eckmans now reside in Rapid City, SD and create from their studio in Black Hills.
