Start/Birth date:
Death/End date:

Jayson grew up on the Hudgins Ranch near Sherman, Texas, a third generation cowboy. Being a cowboy, he has always admired good handmade bits and spurs. In 1995, while working on a ranch near Muleshoe, Texas, Jayson attempted to build a pair of spurs for himself, and he was hooked for good. He has been building since then and has not slowed down. Jones always admired the skill and talent of Adolph Bayers, Billy Klapper, and Jerry Cates.

For the past eight years, Jayson was the ranch foreman for Beggs Cattle Company near Whiteface, Texas. Being a full time cowboy, nights and weekends were the only times he had to make spurs.

Jayson and his wife, Pam, and son Jaydon recently moved to Colorado to pursue his passion of full-time spur making and playing music. Jayson is an accomplished musician, and has been playing and performing since the age of eight. He is presently Playing with the Flying W Wranglers from Colorado Springs, Colorado. (The second oldest western band in the world)
