Rex Schnitger, of Gillette, WY and Hollywood, CA was a product of the ‘Cheyenne’ school of spur making. Hamley carried Schnitger’s spurs from 1922 until the mid-1930s and Bohlin from 1927 until Rex’s death. Most spurs were unmarked but are readily identifiable by the engraved stars on the buttons and the distinctive Northern Plains Style with split heel band. After his move to Hollywood, Bohlin rowel pins were often an added feature.
