Juan Estrada, bit and spur maker from Mexico worked for GS Garcia until 1910 when he moved to Winnemucca, NV to work for the Goldberg-Staunton Saddlery Company. In 1923 when the business was sold he moved to San Francisco and formed a partnership with Raphael Gutierrez. Estrada’s distinctive style incorporated the cabbage leaf/paisley design with numerous tiny, symmetrical interior dots.
