One of Hollywood’s most popular cowboy stars, Ken was a champion rodeo performer who began as a trick rider with the Buffalo Bill Wild West Show and later performing with Ringling Brothers. Maynard entered films in 1924 developing into a leading cowboy star, widely admired by youngsters for his riding stunts on his equally famous horse, Tarzan. Maynard was the first singing cowboy in the movies - several years before Gene Autry.
