Clifton Roy Cheek was born in Kentucky in 1937, moving at an early age to Montana’s Fort Peck Indian Reservation where he developed an interest in the tradition of pioneer and Indian life in the old west. Cheek honed his artistic skill through hands-on experience, exposure to the Native environment of the Sioux-Assiniboine nation and the rigors of ranching. His bronzes have been awarded both national and international acclaim and rest in corporate offices and private homes in England, the Orient as well as the USA.
