The Bionic Bullrider – My Life Story The Bionic Bullrider – My Life Story

How often do we get to read a book and get a picturesque close-up of someone’s life, especially a life immersed in the world of rodeo? Author Barry Brown uses his 300 pages to paint a picture of the rodeo circuit and the many characters whose life threaded through his. Barry’s 28 years as a (mainly) bull begins in Michigan, growing up with his 9 siblings near the stockyards, where apparently he discovered stock in his blood. The rodeo gave him a life outside his home and inspired him to criss-cross the country. As he grew, his honest assessment of the drinking and hard living including bail, injuries, pain and hospital visits, are remembered in impressive, fine detail. And so was love for his wife Margaret and their children. It is a about a life lived and loved.

Barry is currently living in South Carolina and can be reached at rodeobulls@hotmail.com

Mission Statement

Smoke Signals blows your way from High Noon Western Americana of Los Angeles, California, producers of the High Noon Antique Show & Auction for 25 years (1991-2014). Smoke Signals eMagazine was founded in 2010 from a desire to share thoughts and facts with the High Noon community and look at what is going on in the Western world while feeding our readers with great recipes and giving advertisers a chance to blow their own smoke.

And hopefully we educate along the way.
